Equip Yourself

After Laura and I got married, I began picking up one good piece of hunting equipment each year. The first year was a Hoyt bow, then a Bibler tent, Sequel raingear, and a Feathered Friends lightweight goose down sleeping bag. The better that I was equipped, the better I was able to endure Alaska's harsh conditions. Are you 'well equipped' for adversity? It isn't hard to get there. Attend a strong, Bible teaching church. Invest in relationships with Christian friends. Read your Bible. Listen to sermon podcasts and worship music throughout your week. Pray. Serve in your church and invite others to come. Initiate spiritual conversations. Be a witness for Christ.
Look- everything in that list (except attending church and Bible study) is 'as you are going.' They don't take extra time, they don't interrupt your schedule, but they DO EQUIP YOU to meet life's challenges head on. Equip yourself, and you will be blessed! -Pastor BradAbove the Arctic Circle with a quality bow, rain jacket and tent.
