Give Thanks

One of the great rewards of climbing a mountain is being 'on top of the world.' After the non-stop grind of the climb, there is suddenly this RELEASE- this FREEDOM- that is hard to describe if you've never been there. The young people I take climbing are like calves released from a stall. They go bounding in every direction and forget that only moments beneath the summit they were in pain and maybe even thinking of quitting. In a very literal sense, a whole new world opens before them.
I understand it because I've never stopped feeling that way myself. That kind of RELEASE- that kind of FREEDOM- is available to every Christian who chooses to walk on the 'high road' in this life. Tell the truth. Refuse to take offense. Forgive immediately. Be gracious and kind. Focus on pleasing God and others. Be generous. Give thanks in all circumstances. SMILE! Simply put into practice all of the pleasant things that are a part of a God-honoring life, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
