Give Thanks

38° and rain? In January? After breaking records for snowfall in October, this has been a strange winter. Trying to drive home yesterday we were fishtailing and sliding everywhere on our side roads. We didn't even make it to the first hill. One of our neighbors braved it, and then called me to say the steep hills were actually in better shape than the flat roads. We tried again and made it home. We left Laura's car at the church. So... we adjusted our plans.

Schools are closed and our staff is working from home. I built a nice fire and will study today at my kitchen table. It actually sounds like a nice day... a relaxing day... for me, a Sabbath rest. I learned a long time ago not to stress about things that are beyond my control. God tells us, "Pray continually, be joyful always, GIVE THANKS in ALL circumstances, for THIS IS GOD'S WILL FOR YOU in Christ, Jesus." Be blessed! -Pastor Brad
