Do What You Can

One of the reasons young children learn and grow so fast is that they 'believe' that they can do almost anything. Ask a kindergartner- "Can you run fast? Can you jump high? Can you draw a beautiful picture?"
"Yes!  Yes! Yes!"
A number of years ago as my 3 year old granddaughter Piper climbed the tiniest little 'rock wall' you've ever seen to go down a slide, I heard her say to herself, "I'm SO strong!"
Sadly, when we get older the word "CAN'T" enters our vocuabulary- keeping us from trying so many good things- keeping us from learning and growing.  As we GROW our CAN'T becomes our CAN.

Think about it- you couldn't write your name. You couldn't add. You couldn't drive a car or dribble a ball or a thousand other things... now you CAN.

The devil does not want you to witness for Christ. He will whisper into your mind the thought- "I can't." It may be teaching children in Sunday School or leading a group of friends in a Bible study. It may be a commitment to inviting several strangers a day to come to church.

Friends, the idea that you can't do it is a LIE. You CAN! And as you DO what you CAN, you will discover that you GROW and become STRONGER.  Don't worry about what you think you CAN'T do. DO what you CAN, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
