Draw Near To Christ
It was a sunny morning- one of those that sheep hunters dream about. Though I could see my breath, the temperature was above freezing. Even though I had no idea if there were any sheep in this country, I put on my pack, grabbed my rifle and began to climb.
For me, there is nothing like being on foot in the 'high country.' Getting there is costly. That's why so few people do it. It's a tremendous amount of physical work. You commonly deal with driving rain and snow. Your feet take a beating- blisters and blood are common. So why do it?
Somewhere deep in my soul I feel like I was made for this. The same is true in our pursuit of intimacy with Christ. It takes work to go higher. It takes time and energy and sacrifice. But it is so worth it! Every time I intentionally draw near to Christ my heart soars! I know that THIS is what I was made for. Make THAT climb, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
