Praise Him
Laura and I were newly married, and we went with her parents out Petersville Road (past Talkeetna) in their old, beat up motor home. Grouse season was open, and I brought along my bow and a few arrows with blunt tips. I shot 'instinctively'- which means with no sights. We saw our first grouse, and over the course of the morning a second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth. With six shots I had six grouse, and that in front of my new wife and her parents! (A feat I've never repeated to this day.)
Sometimes things just work out, don't they? Sometimes we start off our morning with something wonderful and it just keeps rolling from good to good all day long. I know that you pray when things are difficult, but do you remember to praise God and give thanks on your good days? Or even better, do you praise Him for your MOMENTS?
As a new Christian I wasn't always good about this. There were times when I forgot to thank God for those good days, but now I thank him continuously- whether my days are easy or difficult. I'm even thankful for the memories! Remember to praise HIM, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
