Rise To Life's Challenge

Have you ever done something just for the challenge? Something that took time and effort and money and in the opinion of some people didn't make lick of sense? Many years ago a friend and I built a paddle boat that you pedal with your feet. It was an engineering disaster, heavy and slow, and we took it all the way down the Mississippi River from the headwaters in Minnesota to New Orleans.
It was difficult and often dangerous. We were commonly on the water 16 or more hours a day and slept along the shore wherever we ended up. We would have quit a thousand times except for this fact- we TOLD people we were going to do it. That simple fact motivated us to NEVER QUIT.
Do you intend to start a better prayer life? Do you desire a different career? Do you want to be a better witness for Christ? Tell someone. Speak it out. Announce it in your corner of the world. This will bring a positive accountability into your life that God will use to spur you on. We didn't quit. 103 days and over 2300 miles, but we didn't quit. Here's the beautiful thing- it's never too late to pursue a new goal! Rise to life's challenge, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
