Teach Tell Show
With the fresh snow I didn't have to worry about finding my way back to camp. The caribou tracks were easy to follow, and my feet and body began to warm. I was still cold, and was thankful for the work of carrying a pack and rifle over uneven terrain covered with snow. Suddenly there they were- seven cow caribou and one young bull. Though the limit was five caribou, I only shot the bull.
I had been hunting and running a trapline since I was a young boy, but this was a new experience for me. I had never cut up and packed out a whole animal. This is why so many men don't hunt. They'd love the meat and they'd love the experience with other men, but they have no idea what they'd do with a large animal lying on the ground. Some things in life are best handed down from one generation to the next. Without someone to actually 'show you' there are things you simply won't figure out.
God taught us the importance of teaching our children from the very beginning. They made monuments as reminders. They TOLD their children what God had done for them and SHOWED them how to worship and FOLLOW Him. What knowledge are you passing to the next generation? It might be fixing a car, baking fresh bread, catching a fish or the truly important things- how to live in a way that pleases God. Teach someone. Tell someone. Show someone, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
