Absolute Faith

I heard a 'huff' off in the distance and knew it was a big bear. I was in the foothills of the mountains in spruce and birch forest, and the 'huff' sounded like it was no more than 100 yards away. For the past hour the woods had been almost completely silent. This sudden noise was a reminder that in the Alaska wilderness you are never really alone.

God sent me another reminder last night that he sometimes operates this way as well. He spoke the exact same thing to me and to a good friend. Then, as we LISTENED, he MOVED in an amazing way, orchestrating a circumstance that was a direct response to what he had spoken into both of our hearts. We LISTENED and God MOVED.

As to the bear? I was instantly alert, straining my ears to hear a twig snap or another huff- signs that the bear was moving my way. My eyes were focused intently, looking for a flash of movement or color. When you and I pray, asking God to move, we need to listen and look with the same INTENSITY. We need to listen and look with EXPECTATION. We need to listen and look with absolute FAITH that he hears us and will respond! Be blessed! -Pastor Brad
