Your Best opportunity

Suddenly there he was- a BIG interior grizzly. He was close and coming closer, heading straight for a small opening where i'd have a clear shot. I held my breath and was amazingly calm as my heart pounded. I settled my rifle scope on the opening. My senses were on high alert. This was the opportunity I'd been waiting for. And then... just like that... he jumped into the heavy brush and was crashing away from me. He must have 'winded' me.

I was flooded with disappointment, but kept my rifle on him. Suddenly he stopped and turned to look at me. I had a clear view of his head through an opening the size of a volleyball. Just when things looked most hopeless, my opportunity came. This is so true in life. But imagine if I hadn't 'stayed with it' as it was running away. Imagine if I'd have thrown my hands up in the air and said, "I quit." I would have missed my second opportunity- my REAL opportunity- my BEST opportunity.

When you are witnessing for Christ- when you are inviting a person to come to church- when you are engaging with a friend in a spiritual conversation- DON'T GIVE UP! Don't get discouraged! Sooner or later, your next opportunity will be your BEST opportunity. Be blessed! -Pastor Brad
