Let Someone Know
It was hours before I had the bear skinned and the meat out of the mountains. The next morning I was sitting on a stump on the porch of my cabin skinning out the paws and skull. That's when I noticed that the bear's nose was bigger than my foot. This was a big bear.
Everything is harder with one set of hands, but sometimes we need to 'make do' with what we have, don't we? Single parenting is like that. It's the hardest job in the world. God intended for there to be a mother and a father in every home, but Satan causes a lot of harm. He comes to steal, kill and destroy, and favorite target is marriage and the family. And so one of the most important jobs in the world -parenting- is often reduced to one set of hands.
This is where the family of God comes in. We exist to love one another and build each other up, to support and encourage one another, and to help each other in times of need. But here's the deal- we all lead busy lives. If you need an extra set of hands, you need to ASK. Don't be prideful. Let someone know. If you are in the right church, people will be eager to help.
