Share Your God Stories
As much as I hated to do it, I had been wanting to sell my cabin for a couple of years. It was 200 miles from home, and I was using it less and less. I was skinning out the bear's paws and skull on my porch when a man and his wife came to look at the cabin. It turned out he was a taxidermist, and his wife said, "He'll rug that bear for you for free." He bought the cabin and he 'rugged' my bear. Because of its size, it took three men, scaffolding and a pattern 'jig' to get it up on the wall. Now it's a 3D memory in my house.
Good memories strengthen us. Remembering what God has done strengthens us even more. Why? Because those 'God' memories strengthen the faith of our children and those who know us. After God stopped the flow of the flooding Jordan River so that the nation of Israel could cross, he told them to set up 12 stones as a memorial. Joshua 4:6-7, "When your children ask in time to come, 'What do those stones mean to you?'
then you shall tell them that the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord. When it passed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. So these stones shall be to the people of Israel a memorial forever." Share your God stories! Tell them to all who know you and you (and they) will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
