Become The Very Best You
What does it take to create a new habit- a healthy habit- a life-altering habit? Those kinds of habits are hard. Going on a daily run or to the club to work out is much harder than, say, having ice cream every night before bed. Working out is more difficult NOW, but leads to a higher quality of life. Indulging our appetites is more fun NOW, but leads to a lower quality of life.
In order to develop a new, hard habit you must face this question head on: Are you willing to give up what you want NOW in order to gain what you want MOST? It all boils down to SELF- discipline. That's the hard part, isn't it? if you borrow your friend's car, you take meticulous care of it. Why? Because it's not your own.
God tells us in 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, "YOU are not your own, you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies." Mmmm. So carve out the time, spend a little money, push your body to do things it would rather not do today to become the very best, healthiest YOU... and you will be blessed! Pastor Brad
