Don't Forget To Rest

Resurrection Sunday was a beautiful day. After an amazing worship service led by pastors Zech and AJ, a service that included the opportunity to share the gospel with over 500 visitors and first time guests, we had five families for Easter dinner and games. Of course, Laura filled over 100 eggs for a hunt for all the kids. 

I met with a small group of men early yesterday morning in Anchorage and then made a second trip in to Lowe's for building supplies with Laura. After that? I rested. I literally rested for the rest of the day. I had my climbing gear on, but I didn't climb. And? God reminded me that I, too, need a Sabbath rest. 

TODAY I climb. TODAY I study for Sunday's sermon. TODAY I meet with staff and dive back in to the ministries I love. But yesterday? I needed rest. In the 23rd Psalm David wrote of God, "He MAKES me lie down and green pastures. HE restores my soul." Good reminder. Don't forget to rest, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
