Keep Sharing
Many years ago I was teaching at Colony Middle School in Palmer, Alaska. Opening day of moose season fell on a school day, so right after school I headed into the mountains around Hatcher Pass. Still wearing my khaki pants and button down shirt, I made my way into a small clearing in the middle of the black spruce and began 'calling.'
Just before dark a bull stepped into the clearing and I put him down. As I was cutting him up, a second bull stepped into the clearing. As you might imagine, I ruined a set of school clothes and it was LONG after dark before I had it packed out to my truck and made it home.
The next day, one of the teachers at school shook his head in genuine disgust and said, "You are SO lucky." I replied, "You can't get lucky unless you get in the woods." True, I've had my share of good fortune over the years, but then- I've also worked an awful lot harder than most hunters. To be successful, you need to try and KEEP TRYING.
The same is true when it comes to sharing our faith. I extended MANY invitations to people to come to our Easter services, but to my knowledge, only one family came. I call that success! One more family heard the gospel of Jesus Christ! Friends, get out there! Share and KEEP SHARING, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
