Your Best Life

Sunrise on top of a mountain. This time of year that takes an early morning climb, but it is so worth it. Though I've been doing this for many years, my least favorite part of a climb has never changed- it's the first 10-15 minutes. My body is adjusting to the exertion, I have an unpleasant feeling that borders on nausea, and I feel like quitting every single time.
But slowly (I wish I could say 'quickly') something in my body begins to change. I become comfortable, even in the middle of hard work. When I refuse to allow the unpleasantness to keep me from starting, I am very soon rejoicing in the experience of being 'in' the mountains.
As a teenager I worked for a contractor who said to me, "Hard work ain't easy." True, but to be healthy and strong our bodies NEED hard work. Friends, your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. A part of caring for it is doing your best to stay healthy and strong. This is one of the keys to living your best life for Christ! Be blessed! -Pastor Brad
