Live This Way
When I went to buy a battery for my 1981 GMC 1 ton pickup, as he entered the truck details in his system, the parts man asked. "What color is it?" I laughed out loud. You see, my truck has panels from five different trucks. From back-to-front it's brown, yellow, blue, black, and red. I've met many who claim to be Christians who remind me of that truck.
The 'color' of their faith seems to change depending on who they are with. They act holy and talk with religious 'lingo' around the pastor, drink like a fish with their party buddies, curse like a sailor when they are around those friends who curse, and are a combination of those things at home. Are they saved? Perhaps..... perhaps not.
The Bible does talk about those who enter heaven "as those narrowly escaping flames." But Jesus condemned lukewarm Christians, saying that he wished they were either hot or cold. As sons and daughters of The King, you and I are to represent Him to the world. So lift your chin up, stand strong, and BE the child of God you were created to be!
