Created In The Image Of God
Why are many of those without Christ so angry? They are simply channeling feelings of frustration. It's part of our fallen human nature. Think about it. How does an infant or toddler respond to frustration? They get angry. But let's go deeper. Why are they so frustrated? At the root of this, certainly for those under the age of 40, is the problem of not understanding or embracing their God-given identity.
It shouldn't surprise us that girls who are trained to NOT be feminine hack off their hair, paint it ridiculous colors, pierce holes all over their faces, use vile language, dress like slobs and care little for their physical health or appearance. Boys who are trained to NOT be masculine deal with the same issues in reverse. Most clothing advertisements for young men make me want to puke. Both groups are frustrated.
Ladies, your great strength- your pathway to discovering who you are- lies in your femininity! Men, your great strength lies in your masculinity. Together, male and female reflect the image of God! Young ladies, align yourselves with Christian feminine women. Look to them as role models and mentors. Young men, align yourselves with Christian masculine men. Look to them as your role models and mentors. Rejoice in the role that God has given you.
It is a GREAT thing to be WOMAN created in the image of God. It is a GREAT thing to be MAN created in the image of God. Become excellent men and women, and you will step out of that place of frustration, into zest for living, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
