The Best Time Is Today
It was by far the biggest dall sheep I had ever seen. The massive horns were the result of both age and genetics. We had spotted a band of rams on the top of a 'pinnacle' mountain several miles away and were simply making our way towards them. This ram surprised us. Suddenly it was right there- just above us- easy rifle range. We were thinking of flipping a coin to see which of us would be the lucky shooter when he turned his head.
One horn was completely broken off about 12 inches from his skull. The ram didn't know we were there. We decided to 'pass' and look at the other sheep first. That day we came home empty and our trophy ram had disappeared. Have you ever missed out on a great opportunity because you were hoping for something better to come along? I'll let you in on a little secret.
The BEST time to witness to your lost friends or family is TODAY. The BEST time to sign up for a small group or Bible study is TODAY. The BEST time to have friends or neighbors over for a meal is TODAY. The BEST time to give a single mom a big bag of groceries or offer to watch her children is TODAY. Some of these opportunities will never come again. Don't 'pass' on today's opportunities to be a loving witness for Christ, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
