Shining The Light Of Jesus
Though raining, we had good visibility in the valley, but the tops of the mountains where we were headed were socked in with clouds. By the time we reached a high saddle we were standing in those wet clouds and could only see 15 or 20 feet through the foggy mist. This is the place we'd seen the rams disappear the day before, but on this day they could have been standing 50 yards from us and we would never have known. The world around us was most certainly real, we simply couldn't see it.
This is the story of our lost generation. They cannot see the wickedness that they embrace. They are in a deep fog- a cloak of darkness- spiritually blind and unable to discern good from evil. Roman's 1:28 says, "As they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, so God gave them over to a depraved mind, so that they do what ought not to be done." Since they WILL NOT worship their Creator, they CANNOT see or understand.
Our job is to pierce that darkness so that the fog may be lifted and the light of Christ can shine on them. Don't allow yourself to be overcome by frustration or anger with the unbelievers who are destroying their own lives and this nation. Just keep shining the light of Jesus on them. Continue to speak God's words into our culture, because He PROMISES that his word will not return empty! Be blessed! -Pastor Brad
