Making A Judgement
We stood in the deep fog having a quiet conversation. If we moved forward and the rams were near us, there was a good chance we'd scare them completely out of the country. It was a chance we weren't willing to take. We decided to lose elevation to get under the fog, so we side-hilled through rock and shale to a lower ridgeline. We were literally walking just under a thick canopy of clouds.
Sometimes, if you want to see clearly, you need a new vantage point. A single perspective often leads to wrong conclusions. Proverbs 18:13 says that it is foolish and shameful to answer before hearing all the facts in a matter. Verse 17 says that the first to speak in an argument seems right until another examines him.
Don't make a judgment after hearing one side of a story. To judge appropriately, you need another vantage point. You need to get under those clouds in order to see clearly. True, you may have been right all along, but it is WISE to see things from both perspectives before making a judgement. Be blessed! Pastor Brad
