Live With Passion
I am active in winter, but nearly everything is harder in the cold. I can't drive with my winter gear on, yet when I park my truck and step out to gear up my fingers typically freeze before I'm finished putting everything on. Climbing generates a lot of body heat. If I dress so that I'm warm at the beginning I will be overheated when the mountains go vertical.
We layer, yes, but no one wants to climb a mountain carrying a parka in one hand and a down jacket in the other. Nothing is perfect. If you insist on waiting for perfect conditions, you'll miss so many of life's opportunities. Accept the fact that everything won't always be just right.
Move forward anyway! Have an adventure anyway! Learn a new skill or face a 'dream' challenge anyway! God created this world (and other people) as a gift for you to enjoy! Live with passion and energy (and a good amount of humor) and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
