Joy Of The Lord
Christmas. A day set aside to remember the most incredible gift ever offered. The birth of Christ was miraculous and momentous, but the gift goes much deeper than "God With Us." The true Christmas gift- the true Christmas miracle- is "God IN Us." That God would take up residence on Earth is wonderful, but that God would take up residence in the human heart is even more amazing!
And what does God living inside of us produce? Peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, self control... Let me ask, are you more patient than you were a year ago? Do the people around you notice that you are more kind than you used to be? Are you more gentle? These things are a natural part of growing in Christ.
If you have received the gift of salvation, don't stop there. Ask God to help you become more loving and kind, peaceful, and patient. This Christmas (and every day) put on the joy of the Lord, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
