See The Holy Spirit
I was backpacking with a friend into Ptarmigan Lake near Moose Pass. We were on a narrow foot trail about halfway up a mountain and paralleling the valley. In some places grass about 4 feet tall bordered the trail. We paused at one of those places to glass the valley below us for bear. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed the grass above us moving. Something big was walking toward us, but it wasn't a moose or it would have been visible above the grass. We couldn't see it, but we knew it was there.
In some respects, Jesus said that our experience with the Holy Spirit is like that. In John 3:8 He said, "The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear it's sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit." We cannot see the wind, but we see it's impact- we see what it does. We can hear it and feel it.
That same impact of the Holy Spirit IN US should be evident to all of the people around us. Galatians 5:22-23 says, "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control." Let others see the Holy Spirit at work IN you and THROUGH you, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
