Time In Nature

Though primarily looking for moose, I planned to check on my ram the following morning. If he was still there I planned to go get him in the daylight, when my hunting partners would be able to watch me in the spotting scope the whole time. In the morning, my sheep was gone. Circumstances often dictate our plans, don't they? Other than a grouse that I knocked out of a tree with a rock, the day was a bust- no moose, no black bear, no sheep.

Even so, I had a great adventure with two other men. There is something about being in the mountains, breathing in the crisp morning air, feeling the warm afternoon sun on my face- that restores my soul. I know that God is always with me, but I feel him intensely when I am deep in the wilderness.

Romans 1:20 says, "Since the creation of the world, God's invisible qualities- his eternal power and divine nature- have been clearly seen in what he has made." Invest the time and energy that it takes to spend a little time in nature this week, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
