Aim Carefully
When you are looking straight down at a Dall sheep, the curl of the horn actually looks smaller than it really is. Even so I was certain that both rams were legal, but I couldn't tell which one was bigger. They battled for several minutes before one retreated and the dominant ram bedded down. At this point, the ridgeline was so narrow that I actually lay down on the back side of the ridge and used the top of the mountain for a rest. I took careful aim and gently squeezed the trigger.
Why did I go to the trouble of laying down and resting my rifle rather than simply shooting off-hand? Because if a target is important enough, we should aim carefully. Are you single and desiring to be married? What EXACTLY are you aiming for? A potential spouse should be a committed follower of Christ. A man should be a responsible provider. A woman should welcome a man's leadership and desire to care for a home.
Whether marriage or career or a closer walk with Christ, it is impossible to hit the right target if you don't know what you're aiming for. Spell it out- write it down- set your sights and aim carefully, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
