Speak Life
It only took a moment to see why the Dall sheep were on a dead run. A lone wolf was racing toward them. In John 10:12 Jesus said, "The wolf attacks the flock and scatters it." That's exactly what was happening. Think of it- the shepherd GATHERS and PROTECTS, the wolf SCATTERS and HARMS. The shepherd brings UNITY. The wolf brings DIVISION. There have been a few times in my life when I have seen pastors (who are called to be shepherds) intentionally cause division in the church. They turned out to be 'a wolf in shepherds' clothing.'
While it's true that we can NEVER have unity with the world (Jesus asked, "What fellowship can light have with darkness?"), we are to strive for unity among believers. Rather than gossip and slander (which are weapons of the wolf), our words are to be a healing balm that brings people together. Forgive quickly. Make right every wrong. Speak LIFE into others, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
