Break Every Chain

There was no struggle. The wolf hit the Dall sheep like a freight train and it was over. But then the most amazing part happened. Once dead, the wolf bit this adult ewe about halfway down its spine, right where the rib cage was largest. Then he lifted the entire animal off the ground, with its head and legs dangling, and carried it into the brush. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it. I had underestimated the raw power of the wolf.

People often make this same mistake regarding our great enemy, the devil. The Bible says that "He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour." When Jesus faced the temptations of the devil for 40 days out in the desert, facing every temptation known to man, two things were true of him: 1) He was fasting; and, 2) He gained victory over temptation with the Word of God.

If you have allowed Satan to gain a stronghold in your life- perhaps overeating or filthy language or lust- I would encourage you to fast and spend all of that time you would normally be preparing and eating meals immersed in the Word of God. Satan's power is greater than MY power, but it is not greater than the power of CHRIST IN ME. Crucify your flesh. Allow God to break every chain, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
