Think Things Through
The rams were bedded in a place with no approach. Even if we walked past them they could see us coming from either direction. We decided to split up, with Tim and his dad camping at the base of the mountain just past the rams, 8 miles up the valley. I was setting up on a high ridge about 2 miles this side of the rams. Only one of the 7 rams was a legal full curl. We decided to come from both directions in the dark in the hope that one of us would be able to get on them. Proverbs 21:5 says, "The plans of the diligent lead to abundance." Well, this was our plan, and we were certainly willing to work hard.
\Have you ever moved forward on something important without really thinking it through? I spent years dreaming and then another year planning before I built my house. But I also once traded in my dependable old car for a new one with payments 'to save money on gas.' The increase in my insurance payment was far more than my gas savings, and on top of that, I had a car payment on a car I didn't like. Make plans. Work hard. Seek wise counsel. Think things through. Then say, "If the Lord wills, I plan to..." Live this way, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
