Live With Purpose
Carrying a heavy pack through low brush up a steep hill was no picnic. I finally made it to a little knob that gave me a relatively straight shot up a ridgeline to the sheep. There was nothing left to do but to set up camp and wait for morning. About 11 PM, just before dark, other hunters entered the valley and set up camp about 3 miles from me. I was directly between them and the sheep and they could clearly see my tent. I planned to start climbing the next morning at 4 AM, which would give me plenty of time to position myself before daylight.
I thought that night would never end. The minutes utterly 'crawled' toward morning. Time is funny that way. Sometimes a day seems to go by in minutes, while sometimes an hour seems like days. The simple truth is that life is fleeting. I cannot believe how fast it has gone. God says that our life is a mist- a vapor- and yet one that has incredible potential and meaning.
Friends, live with gusto. Don't let a single day escape you. One day you will have a new body and a new life on a new Earth. But until that day, point people to Jesus! Live with purpose, and you will be blessed! -Pastor Brad
